Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch

Alongside the I-10 freeway, nestled at the base of Picacho Peak, lies one of Southern Arizona’s most memorable roadside attractions. Since 1999, Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch has been delighting families with ostrich-feeding, souvenirs, and fun. Through the years, Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch has grown to accommodate hundreds of animals to play with and feed, as well as introduce a fun, educational tour on a monster truck. Let’s take a closer look at one of Arizona’s beloved roadside attractions—Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch.

The Critters

Ostriches are the first animal to find at Rooster Cogburn Ranch. Guests can feed the ostriches from special chutes or a feeding deck. Over the years, Rooster Cogburn has added several more animals to feed and interact with. Guests can enter a 5,000-sq. ft. tropical paradise where Rainbow Lorikeets reside. Guests can also feed and get pictures with Boer Goats, Nigerian Dwarf Goats, Fallow Deer, Miniature Donkeys, Pekin Ducks, and stingrays. All guests, no matter their age, will enjoy interacting with these amazing animals. For safety concerns, it is always recommended that guests follow all instructions about animal handling and interactions.

The Monster Truck Tour

The Monster Truck Tour is a great way to experience the Rooster Cogburn Ranch, the animals, and the desert.
