While Sedona is named for the wife of the city’s first postmaster, Sedona Arabella Miller Schnebly, the area’s history traces back centuries with the presence of the Sinagua people in the Verde Valley. Schnebly, who inhabited Sedona in the early 20th century, was known for her incredible hospitality, which is still alive in the spirit of the city today.
